From January to May 2020, I worked part-time as a general business intern at Black Girl MATHgic, the first and only math subscription box curated for young Black girls. The purpose of the box is to increase math confidence and decrease math anxiety on a 3rd-8th grade math skill level.

If there’s one thing I’m gatekeep-y about, it’s finding local cafes before everyone else I know does. Now that I’ve graduated Duke, I decided it’s time to share my amassed knowledge and opinions (and anecdotes no one asked for). At the end of this post, check out what I think is the BEST cafe to do work! Note: this guide is focused on which cafes are the best to be productive at.
